BIRD STRIKE CONFERENCE 2010 21-24 JUNE 2010 SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH
The Bird Strike Committees USA/Canada and the American Association of Airport Executives have teamed up again to offer the 12th Annual Joint Meeting of the Bird Strike Committees USA/Canada to be held June 21-24, 2010 in Salt Lake City, Utah.
This year's meeting, hosted by the Salt Lake City International, is slated to bring together wildlife experts and airport officials from across the U.S., Canada and abroad.
Bird Strike Committee USA says US Airways First Officer Jeffrey Skiles will be the keynote speaker at the opening session on Tuesday, June 22. As the First Officer on US Airways Flight 1549, Jeffrey Skiles played an indispensable role ensuring the safe and miraculous landing of an A320 aircraft in the Hudson River after a catastrophic bird strike with Canada geese. Skiles will talk about that unforgettable day and the training, preparedness and teamwork that saved everyone's lives.
