Cessna Launches GreenTrak Programme
Source: fly-corporate.com
Cessna Aircraft Company has introduced its GreenTrak Flight Planning software, a new flight planning programme for current production Citation operators that optimises a flight profile not only for time and cost, but also for the lowest carbon footprint.
GreenTrak is a proprietary system, the first offered by a general aviation manufacturer that uses a process known as cost indexing to minimise total trip cost by balancing the costs of direct operation, fuel burn and carbon emissions. Cessna plans to release GreenTrak as an upgrade option to its CESNAV programme in 2010 for all current production Citations.
Cessna has also released preliminary performance increases for the company's Citation CJ4.
Results of extensive engineering flight testing have validated significant performance enhancements including a maximum speed of 452 knots (838 kilometers per hour), a range of 1,963 nautical miles (3,638 kilometers) with two crew and five passengers, and a direct climb to 45,000 feet (13,716 meters) in just 28 minutes at maximum takeoff weight.
In addition, the company is partnering with Williams International to offer customers fixed hourly rates for engine maintenance on most Citation CJ business jets.
As part of Cessna's ProAdvantage maintenance programmes, TAP Advantage provides Citation CJ owners and operators more predictable engine maintenance costs including parts, labour and life cycle components. The programme allows coverage for hot section and overhaul as well as unscheduled maintenance.
