Source: fly-corporate.com
Indigo One, the Aircraft Management system of Australian company IndigoSat has been selected by the Maldivian Air Taxi to meet their flight operations and real-time flight-following requirements.
The Indigo One management system features real-time flight following, text-based bi-directional communication, together with flight data recording.
"Our operation has to be extremely flexible, and the absolute knowledge of where all our aircraft are will greatly assist in scheduling our flights, and meeting the requirements of our clients," said Capt. Ulrik Nielsen, Flight Operations Manager at MAT. "Analysis of our route efficiency plus the real-time flight data will greatly assist us in streamlining our business." added Capt. Nielsen.
The IndigoSat solutions additionally provide detailed management reports, enabling accurate flight statistics to be recorded and automatically incorporated in billing systems, maintenance tracking software, and can greatly improve efficiency in the management of the aircraft's operation.
"The MAT decision has highlighted the trend for serious aircraft operators to start obtaining reliable information to assist with management decision-making, and will hopefully lead to savings in fuel and maintenance costs throughout the operation," said Andrew Burton, Managing Director of IndigoSat.
The installations are expected to be completed within a few months, with operational information already available from the first aircraft.
