Cessna Aircraft Company has delivered a Citation X business jet retrofitted with Elliptical Winglets to a Middle East customer.
The aircraft was delivered to Saad Wallan, chairman of Wallan Aviation. The winglets were installed at Cessna's Wichita Citation Service Center under Winglet Technology's U.S. Federal Aviation Administration-approved Supplemental Type Certificate.
The company also delivered a Citation Sovereign business jet to Middle East executive air charter operator Arab Wings of Jordan, while the first of four Citation Mustang business jets was delivered to the Egyptian Aviation Academy (EAA). The remaining three Mustangs in the order will also be delivered this month.
A fourth aircraft, a Citation XLS+, was delivered to the Établissement National de la Navigation Aérienne (ENNA) of Algeria.
Cessna also celebrated a significant milestone, as the first production Citation CJ4 rolled off the assembly line at the company's primary design and manufacturing facilities in Wichita.
The first production unit will now go to paint and interiors, while three flight test aircraft continue to work toward type certification. Federal Aviation Administration certification is the final stages with deliveries starting in the first half of 2010.
