Aviation News Item: 00822 28th Apr 2009 Boeing completes a quarter of design releases for 747-8 Source: ubmaviationnews.com Boeing has completed 25 per cent of the design releases for the 747-8 passenger aircraft. This means a quarter of the information needed to build parts and tools for assembly has been completed and released for fabrication or procurement. "We have made tremendous progress on the design engineering," said Mo Yahyavi, VP and GM for the 747 programme. "The engineering is proceeding as planned and we are a step closer to bringing the 747-8 Intercontinental to market." |
