EBACE: Hawker delivers first C90GTx

Source: flightglobal.com

Hawker Beechcraft has delivered the first Beechcraft King Air C90GTx - an upgraded and enhanced version of the C90GTi, which it replaces - to a private owner based in Panama. The twin-engine turboprop is making its debut at EBACE this week following its first demonstration tour across Eastern USA. The tour will continue after the show, focussing on the Eastern hemisphere, says Hawker Beechcraft. Key enhancements to the C90GTx include an increase in maximum ramp and take off weight of 175kg (385lb) to 4,783kg and 4,755kg, respectively; a full-fuel payload capability of more than 340kg - almost double that of the C90GTi; and a range of 1,960km (1,060nm), 370km more than its predecessor. The entry-level King Air 90 entered service more than 45 years ago and the C90GTx marks the eighth major King Air upgrade the US airframer has introduced since 2003.
