Aviation News Item: 00791 6th May 2009 RUAG subcontracts CRJ fuselage assemblies to Ducommun Source: ubmaviationnews.com Swiss RUAG Aerospace has awarded California-based Ducommun AeroStructures (DAS) a contract to furnish aft fuselage panel assemblies for the Bombardier CRJ CRJ700/900/1000 aircraft. The initial contract will run through 2012 and is valued at approximately $75m at anticipated build rates. The first set of panel assemblies is to be delivered in the third quarter of 2009 with ramp-up to production by the first quarter of 2010. All work will be performed at DAS's Gardena and Orange facilities in California. |
