GKN Aerospace has signed a five-year agreement with AJW Aviation to provide composite and metallic structural repair services. GKN's Cowes facility on the Isle of Wight is to repair and re-certify metallic and composite components currently held in stock with AJW, such as control surfaces, fairings, undercarriage doors and panels. The company will be responsible for assessing and costing the repair of each item and for completing each repair as agreed with AJW within a 30-day turn around time. It will also warranty each repair for 12 months.
