Aviation News Item: 00726 22nd May 2009 Air India to have MRO facility at Hyderabad Source: ubmaviationnews.com Air India's chairman and MD, Arvind Jadhav, laid the foundation for a new MRO facility at Shamshabad Airport in Hyderabad yesterday, May 21. On the recently acquired five-acre plot, the airline plans to construct a 9,000m2 base maintenance hangar to accommodate two A320- family aircraft simultaneously or one 747/777 as well as component overhaul shops and various engineering offices. The company says it will invest INR800m ($16.96m) and open the project in 18 months. |
