Aviation News Item: 00725 22nd May 2009 FAA proposes $1.3m civil penalty for Gulfstream International Airlines Source: ubmaviationnews.com The US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has proposed a $1.3m civil penalty for Florida-based Gulfstream International Airlines for violations of federal aviation regulations, including improper scheduling of flight crew duty time, and the installation of unapproved air conditioner compressors and improperly maintained vent blowers on the airline's fleet of 27 BE-1900D aircraft between January and June of 2008. Following that inspection, the airline replaced the blowers with properly maintained units. |
