Aviation News Item: 00706 1st Jun 2009 NTSB expands release of accident investigation information on Internet Source: ubmaviationnews.com The US National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) has said it will begin to release all accident investigation public dockets to the NTSB public website beginning today, June 1, 2009, in accordance with the NTSB Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) improvement plan. "The safety board's reputation for comprehensive and thorough investigations can only be further enhanced by providing such easy access to the materials related to the accidents we investigate," said acting chairman Mark Rosenker. Website visitors may access the FOIA electronic reading room under http://www.ntsb.gov/Info/foia_fri-dockets.htmand select the list of dockets that are organised by transportation mode. |
