Aviation News Item: 00699 3rd Jun 2009 Compass Airlines opens new hangar in Kentucky Source: ubmaviationnews.com Virginia-based Delta Connection member carrier Compass Airlines has opened a new maintenance hangar at Louisville regional airport, Kentucky. The 42,720ft2 facility offers 11,000ft2 hangar floor space to accommodate up to three ERJ-175 aircraft. The $9.5m investment was supported by the Kentucky Economic Development Finance Authority. The airline, which operates 36 ERJ-175 aircraft and became part of Delta Connection as a former Northwest affiliate, said it will create 70 new full-time jobs. Its aircraft were previously maintained by a third party MRO service provider. |
