Aviation News Item: 00689 5th Jun 2009 Rolls-Royce expands Indianapolis facility Source: ubmaviationnews.com Rolls-Royce has opened its new North American headquarters for on-wing care at its existing facility in Indianapolis. The 14,000ft2 hangar and 11,000ft2 shop at the city's international airport can provide line maintenance and hospital level support to the AE 3007; AE 2100; Tay; BR700 series; commercial RB211; and Trent series engines, including the Trent 1000. The OEM said it invested $1m in the centre, which should be capable of servicing more than 100 engines per year. |
