Aviation News Item: 00672 10th Jun 2009 SAS selects LHT for Airbus landing gear MRO Source: ubmaviationnews.com Scandinavian Airlines System (SAS) has signed a contract with Lufthansa Technik (LHT) to service the landing gears of the airline's Airbus fleet. In the coming 10 years, the MRO company is to provide repair and overhaul services for landing gears of four A319s, eight A321s, four A330s and seven A340s. Additionally, the German firm is to provide quick-response services in case of a landing gear-related AOG (aircraft on ground) event, and to provide the airline with access to its spare landing gear pool if an immediate replacement is needed. |
