Volvo Aero cuts 160 positions

Source: ubmaviationnews.com

Volvo Aero, the aerospace subsidiary of Swedish lorry manufacturer Volvo, has said it will cut 160 white-collar jobs at its main facility in Trollhattan. "Our volumes are decreasing, both in production and product development, while at the same time we need to manage our cost situation," said Staffan Zackrisson, president of Volvo Aero. These redundancies come after the company already announced in April that it would cut 220 blue-collar workers.
