Aviation News Item: 00661 16th Jun 2009 SR Technics introduces "E-checks" Source: ubmaviationnews.com SR Technics has announced the introduction of its "Equalised Maintenance" (E-check) concept which promises to reduce aircraft downtime by a total of 17 days during a six-year period. The service distributes all traditional A and C check tasks for A320-family aircraft from a block maintenance concept into equal maintenance packages. The Swiss MRO company first introduced this concept in 2003 for the easyJet fleet, in order to minimise scheduled maintenance downtime. Having completed the first cycle, it is now launching the "E-check" service to the aviation market. |
