Aviation News Item: 06599 23rd Mar 2010 StandardAero to reopen engine shop at its Springfield, Ill, service center Source: evaint.com StandardAero has announced that it will reopen the engine shop at its Springfield, Ill, service center (SPI). It will be operational in the third quarter of 2010. At 225,000 square feet, Springfield is the largest Business Aviation shop and services a significant volume of TFE731-powered aircraft. Initially, the shop will be capable of providing major periodic inspections (MPIs) for TFE731 engines. The capabilities of the shop will be reassessed periodically with a possibility of adding other engine types and services based on customers' needs. The company will maintain a Mobile Service Team (MST) in Little Rock, Ark. to service the needs of its customers in the region. |
