Aviation News Item: 00626 22nd Jun 2009 StandardAero moves Dutch PW100 overhaul facility to Canada Source: ubmaviationnews.com Standard Aero, a subsidiary of Dubai Aerospace Enterprise (DAE), is moving its Pratt & Whitney Canada (P&WC) PW100 designated overhaul facility (DOF) from the Netherlands to Winnipeg, Canada. The new facility is to bring together the firm's capabilities to service P&WC PW100 and PT6 turboprop engines. The existing PW100 facility in Tilburg, the Netherlands, will become a European sales and service centre. It is to continue maintaining Rolls-Royce Gem turboshaft (helicopter) engines, as well as providing field service, test capabilities for PT6 and PW100 engines and light repair capabilities for PW600 engines. |
