Aviation News Item: 00609 25th Jun 2009 Cimber Sterling and Shanghai Airlines chose ST Aerospace for component support Source: ubmaviationnews.com ST Aerospace has won Shanghai Airlines and Denmark-based Cimber Sterling as component support customers. The Chinese carrier has signed an eight-year, $21m component "Maintenance-By-the-Hour" (MBH) contract with the Singaporean company, covering repair management and pool access for 10 A321 aircraft. Cimber Sterling has contracted the MRO provider to support its fleet of five 737NGs with options for additional aircraft over the next year. The contract, valued at EUR9m ($12.5m), commences in June 2009 and involves a five-year MBH component support programme that includes access to rotables on an exchange basis. |
