ASA and Canada's Renaissance International Holdings Tie-up

Hong Kong's ASA Group, which offers VVIP security, ground handling and aircraft management services in the Asia Pacific and Middle East, has allied with Canada's Renaissance International Holdings (RIH) to establish a base at Robin Hood Airport, Doncaster, UK.
RIH has already established a maintenance facility at Robin Hood Airport for avionic infrastructure work and is set to open a completions centre there in summer 2010. President Bryan Landry said: "The alliance with ASA will benefit both companies' customers. When purchasing an aircraft the initial definition, the development and interior design specifications are critical elements in the success of the final product. The reason people were willing to fly their aircraft to North America to have them painted, complete maintenance tasks and rework interior cabin issues was there were frequently no slots available in Asia and Europe that could do all three components."
The alliance is a further foray into Europe for ASA, which recently teamed up with London's The Luxury Network (TLN), an affinity-marketing group with networks in Beverly Hills, London, Milan and Moscow and the Middle East. ASA owns and manages the franchise in Asia. "We see this collaboration with RIH as the next logical step in developing ASA in the direction we would like to go," said ASA's chief executive Simon Wagstaff.
