Source: ubmaviationnews.com

Oman Air has awarded a $2.6m contract to Spatial Composite Solutions for two cabin crew safety trainers. Spatial, a Dubai-based manufacturer of crew training equipment, will design and build A330-300 and 737 NG cabin emergency evacuation trainers (CEET), which will be installed at the airline's crew training facility at Muscat International Airport in the Sultanate of Oman. Delivery is scheduled for October 2010.

Separately, Oman Air operated its first flight with "full" OnAir mobile and WiFi Internet connectivity services yesterday (March 2). The technology, based on Inmarsat SwiftBroadband, is installed on one A330 deployed on the route between Muscat International and London Heathrow.
