Aviation News Item: 00538 20th Jul 2009 P&WC to invest in Wichita Falls component repair facility Source: ubmaviationnews.com Pratt & Whitney Canada (P&WC) has said it will invest about $1m in its Aerospace Component Services (ACS) repair facility in Wichita Falls. The investment includes a $450,000 contribution from the City of Wichita Falls. The Texan facility provides restoration of super-alloy components as well as section replacements and protective coating applications for a range of gas turbine components. The company will use the investment to acquire a water jet stripping machine to clean gas turbine components. |
