Aviation News Item: 00534 20th Jul 2009 Qatar buys SELEX Sistemi Integrati ground control system Source: ubmaviationnews.com The Civil Aviation Authority of Qatar has signed a €2.6m ($3.7m) contract with SELEX Sistemi Integrati, a Finmeccanica company, for an 'Advanced Surface Movement Guidance & Control System' (A-SMGCS) at Doha airport. The system should be completed within the next six months. The Italian company has already supplied air and airport traffic control systems worth approximately $130m for the new Doha International airport. |
