Curtiss-Wright Controls to manufacture Boeing PMA parts

Source: ubmaviationnews.com

Curtiss-Wright Controls has formed a data licence agreement with Boeing allowing the use of detailed engineering design to obtain parts manufacturing authority (PMA) for replacement flight control spare parts. The licence will permit the Charlotte, North Dakota-based company to manufacture PMA parts and distribute them directly to operators. The firm supplies flight control and utility actuation products to numerous Boeing aircraft in service, including the 737, 747, 757, 767 and 777 platforms. The manufacture and maintenance is undertaken at its facilities in Shelby and Gastonia, North Carolina.
