Aviation News Item: 00511 27th Jul 2009 Embraer breaks ground for Portuguese composite centre Source: ubmaviationnews.com Embraer broke ground for a manufacturing facility in the Portuguese city of Evora yesterday, July 26. The new 15,000m2 (161,460ft2) unit, scheduled for completion by the end of 2011, will be dedicated to manufacturing composite airframe structures and components. The Brazilian airframer said it is investing €48m ($68.4m) in the project. Evora is the capital of the Alentejo region and is located about 130km south of Lisbon. ($1 = €0.70) |
