SITA, the specialist in air transport communications and IT solutions, has been awarded a contract by the Dublin Airport Authority to act as systems integrator for the IT and communications systems for the airport's new terminal two. Partnering with other providers, the company is responsible for the delivery of 14 systems including: the data network; wireless and radio networks; CCTV; access control; telephony; the operations control centre; passenger screening; and the terminal's display systems. The €395m ($559m) facility is to open in November 2010 and increase the airports overall capacity to 30m passengers per year.
