Aviation News Item: 00501 29th Jul 2009 TransDigm acquires Acme Aerospace Source: ubmaviationnews.com TransDigm Group, the Ohio-based component manufacturer, has acquired Acme Aerospace from a subsidiary of Actuant Corporation for approximately $40m in cash. Acme produces fibrous nickel cadmium (FNC) main ship batteries, battery chargers, battery back-up systems and power conversion equipment for a range of aircraft platforms, mainly the 777. The company has annual revenues of approximately $18m and has approximately 90 employees at its Tempe, Arizona, facility. |
