Aspen Avionics, a manufacturer of digital flight display systems for general aviation aircraft, is partnering with Jeppesen to utilise an aggregated navigation information, obstacle, terrain and cultural database. The information can be updated via the 'Jeppesen Services Update Manager' (JSUM) data delivery tool. "The Aspen Evolution flight display taps into a whole new market segment," said Thomas Wede, SVP and GM at the air navigation data provider. "Older general aviation aircraft with analog instruments now have a more affordable upgrade path to glass than was previously available to them."
