Aviation News Item: 00487 3rd Aug 2009 Munich airport renews fuel facility agreement Source: ubmaviationnews.com Flughafen München has signed a seven-year contract with Skytanking Aircraft Service International Group (ASIG) to operate the aviation fuel storage and hydrant system at Munich Airport. The 50/50 JV between ASIG and Skytanking Holding has been successfully operating the fuel facilities at Germany's second largest airport since 1999. It also holds one of the two licences to provide into-plane fuelling services at the airport. The fuel system is supplied via rail and pipeline and comprises 30,000m3 (7.9 million gallons) of Jet A-1 storage and 14km (8.7m) of underground hydrant pipeline connecting the storage to 500 aircraft stands. |
