Timco Aerosystems has been awarded organisation delegation authorisation (ODA) from the FAA Atlanta aircraft certification office (FAA ATL-ACO). Under ODA, the company will have the FAA authority to issue both design and manufacturing approvals. The FAA established the ODA programme in 2005 to transfer some oversight authority to other bodies and allow it "to focus its resources on identifying and addressing trends, developing best practices, and dealing with critical issues," according to the company. The Aerosystems branch is the aircraft interior specialist subsidiary of the MRO group Timco Aviation Services.
