The flight deck "merges leading-edge design with advanced technology to deliver a completely new cockpit experience", according to the company. The Rockwell Collins' 'Pro Line Fusion' avionics suite includes a head-up guidance system (HGS), electronic checklists, maps with graphical flight planning, controller-pilot datalink communication and 'MultiScan' weather detection system, as well as the 'Bombardier Enhanced Vision System' (BEVS). The aircraft departed from the airframer's Downsview facility in Toronto, Ontario, at 10.20am EDT (14.20 UTC) and returned to the airfield for landing at 15.28 EDT (19.28 UTC).
