Aviation News Item: 00479 5th Aug 2009 Belle Air to use Lufthansa Systems' FMS data Source: ubmaviationnews.com The Albanian airline Belle Air has opted for Lufthansa Systems' Lido flight management system (FMS) and navigation data. Both companies signed a five-year contract to this effect. The FMS database contains route information including altitude and airport data for optimising routes and supporting autopilots on aircraft with the respective equipment. The navigation data are updated and organised monthly, and can be customised to specific routes and for use in any type of aircraft. The low-cost carrier offers flights from its hub in Tirana, Albania, mainly to destinations in Italy as well as to Pristina in the Kosovo and Liege in Belgium. |
