Aviation News Item: 00472 7th Aug 2009 Finnair Technical Services reaches labour agreement Source: ubmaviationnews.com Finnair Technical Services has reached a labour agreement, which should save it €14m ($20.1m) in personnel costs by the end of 2010. However, in a previously announced €100m ($143.7m) efficiency programme, the MRO provider aimed to save €70m ($100.6m) in personnel costs. All of the unit's 1,600 employees, represented by five different unions, will participate in the agreement. The company said that, thanks to the stabilisation agreement, it has been able to agree on a 757 maintenance and modification contract with an external customer. ($1 = €0.69) |
