Aviation News Item: 00432 18th Aug 2009 Libyan Airlines to offer mobile phone connectivity Source: ubmaviationnews.com Libyan Airlines and SITA subsidiary OnAir have agreed to install mobile inflight passenger communications services on seven new A320s, which are to be deployed on routes across Europe and the Middle East. Passengers should be able to stay connected inflight using their own mobile phones or BlackBerry-type devices to make and receive phone-calls, send and receive text messages and emails, and access the Internet. The airline is expecting delivery of the aircraft in 2010. |
