Aviation News Item: 00424 19th Aug 2009 Meggitt wins Learjet 85 fire protection system Source: ubmaviationnews.com Bombardier has selected Meggitt to provide the fire detection and extinguishing system for the Learjet 85. The system, which includes Pacific Scientific fire extinguishing components, is to protect the engines, APU and cargo compartments of the all-composite business aircraft. The system uses algorithms that can differentiate between true and false alarms, according to the equipment manufacturer. |
