Scores Attend Service for Wes Lematta

On December 28, 2009, HAI reported with sadness the passing of Columbia Helicopters' Founder and Chairman of the Board, Glenn Wesley "Wes" Lematta. With over 50 years in the helicopter business, Lematta's accomplishments and contributions to industry were nothing short of amazing. Lematta passed away in Vancouver, Washington on December 24.

There were two services for Lematta on Saturday January 9, 2010. Just over 300 people attended the private funeral service, with approximately 820 (name tag count) attending a public "Celebration of Life" service held that afternoon.
