Aviation News Item: 00376 2nd Sep 2009 HBC delays Premier II EIS despite programme progress Source: ubmaviationnews.com Hawker Beechcraft (HBC) has test-flown the Williams International FJ44-3AP engine for the Premier II light business jet for the first time. The company has also said that the first fuselage for the new aircraft had entered the assembly line. However, due to the current economic climate, "we have made the decision to extend the entry-into-service (EIS) date to better align with anticipated rebound of the business jet market," said Bill Boisture, HBC chairman and CEO. The company expects this to now occur in late 2012 or early 2013. The aircraft is scheduled to take off for the first flight in December 2009. |
