Aviation News Item: 00364 4th Sep 2009 STATA's first batch of student pilots receive CPL Source: ubmaviationnews.com The first batch of 16 student pilots at ST Aviation Training Academy (STATA), the commercial pilot flight school of ST Aerospace, have earned their commercial pilot licences (CPL). The group have undergone ground school and flight training at Ballarat airport in the state of Victoria, Australia, since May 2008. Of the 16 graduates, 15 are from Shenzhen Airlines in China and one is a private student from Singapore. All students earned a CPL issued by the Civil Aviation Safety Authority in Australia, while students from Shenzhen Airlines are eligible for a Chinese CPL when they return to fly for the airline. |
