Aviation News Item: 03619 4th Jan 2010 American under FAA review after landing incidents Source: ubmaviationnews.com The FAA is reviewing procedures at American Airlines, after the Fort Worth-based carrier had three landing incidents in December, US media have reported. The most serious incident was when a 737 overran the runway in Jamaica during heavy rain on December 22 and several passengers were injured. On two other occasions, on December 13 in Charlotte, North Carolina, and on December 24 in Austin, Texas, aircraft touched the ground with their wingtips during landing. |
