The UK's air traffic control service provider NATS has upgraded its radar monitoring display (RMD) at approximately 30 radar sites and trackers. The upgrade included the re-hosting of the software and new hardware, allowing the integration of surveillance sources, such as Mode-S radars, ADS-B and multilateration. RMD is a surveillance data display system with features for technical monitoring, supporting and data recording and replay, low level analysis, raw picture support and automatic adaption to different radars. The programme was completed by COMSOFT, an aviation IT specialist-based in Germany.
