Aviation News Item: 00345 10th Sep 2009 Noranco to produce 787 components for Saab Aerostructures Source: ubmaviationnews.com Boeing partner Saab Aerostructures has signed a three-year agreement with Noranco, a Canadian manufacturer of structural, landing gear and avionics components, to produce structural components for the 787 programme. The Swedish company was selected by Boeing in 2005 to design, develop and manufacture: large cargo doors, bulk cargo door and access doors for the Dreamliner. Deliveries from Noranco's Pickering division, located in Pickering, Ontario, are to begin in 2009 and run through 2012. |
