Aviation News Item: 00343 10th Sep 2009 FAA awards TAM Part 145 approval Source: ubmaviationnews.com The FAA has awarded TAM's Technological Center Part 145 approval to perform C and D checks as well as component maintenance on aircraft registered in the US. Chile's civil aviation authority, the Direccion General de Aeronautica Civil (DGAC), approved the Brazilian airline's MRO division last month to service A318 aircraft and their components, in addition to an existing approval A319, A320 and A321 aircraft registered in Chile. Currently the company is in the process of gaining certification for 767 aircraft from Brazil's Agencia Nacional de Aviacao Civil (ANAC) and EASA. |
