Aviation News Item: 00327 15th Sep 2009 Fokker 100 makes emergency landing Source: ubmaviationnews.com A Contact Air Fokker 100 has made an emergency landing at Stuttgart airport, in Germany. The aircraft was preparing to land after flying from Berlin when the crew made several unsuccessful attempts to deploy the rear landing gear. An emergency landing was made after ground crew had sprayed the runway with foam. Franz Muentefering, the chairman of Germany's Social Democratic Party, was aboard the aircraft. Muentefering formerly served in Angela Merkel's government. One passenger suffered a minor injury in the incident and a stewardess was taken to hospital for observation. |
