Egyptair has launched its mobile portal in cooperation with Star Alliance. The Egyptian carrier, South African Airways and TAP Portugal are the first member carriers of the airline alliance to launch their individual mobile portals under the common IT mobile platform initiative. The mobile services are being rolled out in various stages and presently encompass features such as flight schedules, real time flight departures and arrivals, lounge information, currency converter, weather for the next five days in the arrival destination, baggage tracing and information on destinations.
