Aviation News Item: 00309 21st Sep 2009 LAN sends 767s to Delta TechOps for winglet installation Source: ubmaviationnews.com Latin American carrier LAN Airlines has chosen Delta TechOps to install winglets and provide airframe maintenance services on some of its 767 fleet. How many aircraft will be modified has not been disclosed. The MRO provider said that the winglets would reduce fuel usage by approximately 450,000 gallons (1.7million litres) per year and decrease CO2 emissions for each aircraft by five per cent. |
