Aviation News Item: 03089 14th Dec 2009 West Star Plans Columbia Facility Source: aviationtoday.com East Alton, Ill.-based West Star Aviation is expanding to Columbia Metropolitan Airport (CAE) in South Carolina. The MRO provider will offer airframe, engine and avionics services for business jets starting first quarter 2010. The complex, which will employ more than 100 people when fully operational, will initially focus on turbine aircraft below 12,500 lbs, including the Bombardier Learjet 30/40/45/55 and 60, Cessna Citation 500/525/550/560 and 650, Dassault Falcon 10/20 and Hawker 700/800. The facility will also be an FAA-certified repair station. |
