Aviation News Item: 02949 10th Dec 2009 Asiana to build new hangar in Seoul Source: ubmaviationnews.com Asiana Airlines said it will build a 2.5 bay sized second hangar at Incheon International Airport in Seoul, South Korea. The new 63,800m2 (686,700ft2) facility will accommodate two 747s and one 767 at once and cost approximately KRW110bn ($94m). The construction is scheduled to start at the end of 2010 and be completed in April 2013. Asiana said the building will make its maintenance facility the largest one at Incheon and should lead to savings of around KRW27bn ($23m) as a result of outsourcing maintenance to subcontractors. |
