Aviation News Item: 00280 28th Sep 2009 Flightstar plans facility expansion Source: ubmaviationnews.com Flightstar Aircraft Services, a US provider of heavy aircraft maintenance and modifications, wants to break ground for its facility expansion at Cecil Field in Jacksonville, Florida, today (September 28). The planned 100,000ft2 (9,290m2) facility is to include an aircraft coating facility for narrow and widebody aircraft, a learning centre in conjunction with Florida State College at Jacksonville and additional space for the company's MRO operations. The company said it expected staffing levels would reach "an additional 200 employees at peak production". The expansion is scheduled to be completed in late 2010. |
