Aviation News Item: 00275 29th Sep 2009 Tiger Airways sends pilot cadets to STATA Source: ubmaviationnews.com Tiger Airways, a low-cost carrier based in Singapore, is to send six cadet pilots to ST Aviation Training Academy (STATA) for multi-crew pilot licence (MPL) training for the airline's A320 fleet. The programme will begin in October and last approximately two years. The student pilots will first undergo ground school in Singapore and flight training in Ballarat, Australia, before embarking on further flight training in multi-crew environment in the city-state. The MPL is to be issued by Singapore's civil aviation authority of Singapore (CAAS). This the first MPL programme in Singapore, according to the flight academy. |
