Aviation News Item: 00247 7th Oct 2009 Saudi Arabian to provide Internet services on A330s Source: ubmaviationnews.com Saudi Arabian Airlines and OnAir, a Geneva, Switzerland-based inflight communications provider, have agreed to install SwiftBroadband mobile and WiFi Internet passenger communications services on the carrier's fleet of A330 aircraft flying international routes. The Middle Eastern airline expects delivery of the first A330 in April 2010. Passengers will be able to stay connected inflight using their mobile phones or BlackBerry-type devices to make and receive phone-calls, send and receive text messages and emails, and access the Internet. |
